Good news
I have some good news for you.
This is about a caring, loving, and selfless King and His Kingdom. A king who laid down His life for you and for me “13Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 14You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, ……. (John 15).
The Good News of the Gospel: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom 5:8). Through sin we owed a debt that we could not pay, but whilst we were helpless in that situation; Jesus Christ came and paid the price for our redemption on the Cross at Calvary. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God (2 Cor 5:21)
Q? Did you know that there are principally only two invisible kingdoms that are fighting all the time to increase their population? Each one of us by choice and by default belong to either one of these kingdoms.
There is the Kingdom of God often called the Kingdom of Heaven or the Kingdom of Light and there is the kingdom of darkness also called the kingdom of satan/devil. Each one of us belongs to one of these two kingdoms. Either you are in one kingdom or in the other.
Q? do you mean: once I am not in the Kingdom of God I am automatically in the kingdom of satan?
Ans: True. As humans, we can belong either to the kingdom of God or the kingdom of darkness; there is no in-between position. One cannot serve both kingdoms at the same time. The reason being that the two kingdoms have two different masters with different requirements: one loves light and the other loves darkness. The kingdom of darkness has no fellowship with the kingdom of light. Matthew 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other”. The reality is that due to the fall of Adam in the Garden, as his offspring, we inherited his sinful nature and we are automatically born in the kingdom of darkness; which is why the bible says in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. However, we are not hopeless! Through Jesus Christ, we can be translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light (Col 1:13). We only have to make a choice!
Q? Please explain further.
Ans: it is only through Jesus Christ that we can enter into the Kingdom of God. Roms 3:24 declares that every person is justified freely by believing in Jesus Christ. Only through Jesus Christ can we be the sons of God and enter the Kingdom of God. (John 1:12). Jesus Christ took away the sins of the world by His redemptive death and shedding of His Blood.
Q? How do I enter into the Kingdom of God?
Ans: Through Jesus Christ: John 14:6 “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. Jesus is the only way to enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. All you have to do is confess Him as your personal Lord and Saviour.
One has to be born again: John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”. How can a man be born again? By believing in your heart and confessing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
Q? How do I get born again?
Romans 10:9that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Q? so you mean that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and believe in my heart that He died for my sins and on the 3rd day God raised Him from the dead, I am saved?
Ans: Absolutely. Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”. John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”. However to maintain your salvation you would need to join the family of believers near you. Find a bible believing and Holy Spirit filled church near you.
Salvation Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me so much that you sent your only begotten Son Jesus Christ, to be a sacrifice for my sins.
From this day forward I believe in Jesus Christ, that faultless as He was He shed His blood by being nailed to the cross for my sins and that He rose again as it is written in the Holy Bible.
Lord Jesus Christ, I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Come into my life, forgive my sins, wash me with your precious Blood and take control of the way I live.
I ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit and write my name down in Your book of Life.
From this day forward, I confess that I am a new Creation, the old things are gone, and all in me has become new. I am born again. Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for giving me the gift of Eternal Life.
