Healing and Deliverance

There were four aspects to Jesus’s earthly ministry:

  1. Jesus preached the Kingdom of God
  2. Jesus taught
  3. Jesus delivered / cast out devils
  4. Jesus healed

Reference Scriptures:

Matthew 4: 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Mark 1:39 So He went throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.

This same mandate He gave to His 12 disciples:

Luke 9:9Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. 2And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Matthew 10: 7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

As a ministry we stand by these four aspects of Jesus’s ministry. Deliverance is key to the establishment of God’s Kingdom. There was no casting out of devils before Jesus Christ came to establish His Kingdom. Even the prophets of old; Elijah, Elisha, Jeremiah, Moses etc did not cast out a single demon but when Christ appeared, casting out of devils appeared, and it is the mandate of the New Testament Church and believer. Every believer has power and authority to cast out devils.

Deliverance is casting out evil spirits from people, from places and things. Deliverance is from the Hebrew word Teshua or Greek word Soteria which means preservation from harm, rescue or being pulled to safety.

Deliverance follows the proclamation of the gospel of the Kingdom of God.
